Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and ModalFret LLC for using ModalFret. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Questions: support@modalfret.com.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
Give a real email address and keep your password private. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
You can delete your account at any time under Settings → Account.

Purchases

Paid features are a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Once bought, they unlock on your account on every device where you sign in.
Purchases through Apple, Google or Microsoft follow that store’s payment and refund rules. For purchases made on our website, contact support@modalfret.com within 14 days if something isn’t right.
Prices may change, but a change never affects something you’ve already bought.

Your content

Songs, tabs and pieces you create or add stay yours. You let us store and display them to you so the app can work. Only add material you have the right to use; don’t upload copyrighted songs or tabs you don’t have permission to share.

Fair use of the app

Don’t misuse the app: no attempts to break in, overload it, or get around its paid features. We may suspend accounts that do.

Our content

The app, its name, artwork, exercises, sounds, design and code belong to ModalFret LLC and are protected by copyright and other laws. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use them in the app. Except where the law specifically allows it, you may not:

copy, modify, publish, share, sell or rent any part of the app, its code, artwork or exercises;
decompile, reverse engineer or try to extract the app’s source code;
use the app, or anything taken from it, to build or train a competing product or service;
remove or change any copyright or ownership notices.

All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by ModalFret LLC.

Practice safely

Warm up, take breaks, and stop if you feel pain or numbness. The app is a practice tool, not medical or professional advice.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep ModalFret running well, but it’s provided “as is.” We can’t promise it will always be available or error-free, or that pitch and timing grading will be perfect in every room or with every instrument.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, ModalFret LLC isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and we’ll tell you in the app about significant changes. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA.
